‘Processing for the main LR, LL/RR hangs and the front-fills and subs is via five LDDPA260 processors, whilst stage side-fills and LL/RR fills are taken care of by four LDDS2.1 processors,’ he explained. Meanwhile, six LDV12s are used as left and right-fills. All LDVA8s used in the design were paralleled as three per circuit, with a resultant load averaging at 5.33-ohms, whilst all subs are in 4-ohms loads,’ he added.įourteen LDV12A speakers with two LDESUB15A subwoofers (coupled with LDV12As for drum-fills) make up the stage foldback system, whilst stage side-fills are provided for in the way of two LDEB212 full range speakers with two LDV215B subs per side. This was compensated using selective filters around. ‘Given that the six LDVA8s were half the number of the main hang, the coupling effect was naturally lacking – around the 120Hz to 150Hz region. ‘The LL and RR offstage hang was tuned to achieve a similar response to the main hang,’ explained Mr Ahmad. Offstage hangs were provided for in the way of six LDVA8 array speakers and two LDVAPS215 subs per cluster. ‘The LDVAPS215s were tuned to behave more like low-extension elements, rather than sub elements – this emphasised the “punch”.’Ī total of eight LDV218B subwoofers were ground stacked, whilst six equally spaced LDVA8 speakers were deployed as stage front-fills, laid horizontally along the stage lip. ‘The LR FOH cluster was flown as such so that the physical distance between the full-range elements and the LDVAPS215s was minimised,’ explained Mr Ahmad. The main left and right hang is comprised of 12 LDVA8 line array speakers per cluster, with four stage-mounted LDVAPS215 subwoofers per side providing low end support. The system was designed, tuned and commissioned by Yusof Ahmad, MD of UniAudio Asia. I NDONESIA: DGT Professional recently installed an LD Systems sound reinforcement system into the concert area in the Queen Garden Waterboom Batam water park in Indonesia.
